Member Survey and Forum Results and Actions

Dear members,

As President, I would like to thank those of you that completed our recent Member Survey to score our performance, and in particular, a big thanks to those that attended our Member Forum in December to share ideas and feedback. If you are interested in seeing the results, click on the video to watch a quick summary or read on to find out what actions we will be taking improve at the Wanneroo Business Association (WBA) and grow our community.

Key points from the survey:

- More than 87% of our members are happy with their membership

- More than 71% of members rate their WBA membership as being excellent or above average when considering value for money

- Over 95% of members rate our customer service as being excellent or above average

- Our Coffee Catch Ups came out on top as our members' favourite event

- More than 84% of members would recommend the WBA to a business associate

- Other extremely high scoring questions were around trust in the WBA brand, approach-ability and feeling part of the WBA community, which all scored between 8 and 10 on a scale of 1 - 10

Actions Already Completed

Considering these results, and the feedback received at our Member Forum, I held a half day session with my fellow Board Members to review and analyse the feedback, discuss changes and create actions to better the WBA. 


You may have seen the following already actioned, to name but a few:

- A reminder of the member benefits were posted into the Closed Facebook Forum, as a file for you to refer to.  This was completed the week of the Member Forum following feedback, and the flyer will also be attached to all our email campaigns

- We are set to reward active members and referrals with recognition in our email campaigns and on social media

Further Actions To Be Implemented

- Starting with our first event of the year, the day before an event, the attendee list will be emailed to members only, and the list of attendees will be displayed at events for you to see. This will enable you to plan ahead and ask for assistance with introductions from WBA staff on arrival, structuring your networking and helping you to connect easily.

- Starting with our first breakfast event of the year, board members will be assigned to new members at breakfast events, to welcome them and guide them through their first event

- The WBA will be involved in the MBA and Entrepreneur courses at Edith Cowan University to invite them to WBA events and connect them with the existing business community and our members

- 2 events per year will be organised with a high profile speaker whether of an inspirational focus or to hear from an iconic business leader

- The WBA will look into the development of a loyalty/discount program for WBA members to access promotion and savings

- Marketing plan to be implemented and returning results within a year to spread the word and reach out to businesses that don't currently know about the Wanneroo Business Association
